…not, not an exam, thank god for that š
Just the Five Question Wednesday at the IMC, which, by the way, is a wonderful site with loads of parenting tips.
Go on, check it out š RM has been super sweet about ignoring my 2 month delay in replying to her questions. In my defense, I completely missed seeing them. How is that even possible, I don’t know, but it happens to people like me:(
yipee..thanks so much for the time Smitha š big big hugs to you š
I should be thanking you š
Errr thanks for reminding me…..lemme dig out the mail she had sent to me š
Off to reading ur answers š
You know I completey missed that mail, and realized just last week that RM had already sent the questions and has been waiting patiently for two months. I have nowhere to hide my face!
Enid Blyton at grade 1 huh!! I was still reading Tinkle in that age
I don’t think I had started even Tinkle:)
Lovely š
I think your daughter learnt a lot of basics in the UK itself (not just about education but life in general) that set her going a bit easier when she moved here, don’t you think?
Of course, that doesn’t take away the fact that she has two wonderful parents to bank upon! š
Yes, living in UK and going to the school she went to, gave her a great start in life.
About the parents, well, I’m not sure how much she will agree with that:)
Ahem, ahem. Someone has got famous. š
Lovely interview, Smitha. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
What you have done with Poohi and books is something I strongly believe in too. I already know I will start reading to my kid when he/she is days old, even though people might think I am crazy. I already had faith in that idea, and you just reinforced it. š
Good to know Poohi has settled down well in her school.
Wowie! Am sure I will love reading that š
Getting kids to read books, when they have other attractions like Internet and TV is really difficult these days. Kudos to you for achieving that.
Thanks Avada. I’ve realized that once the child gets hooked on books, TV and the internet doesn’t hold as much charm – atleast from what I can see at the moment… Hopefully, it will stay that way š
