  1. 🙂 Now that is something 🙂 It was a tree trunk totally encrusted with pennies! I wonder how people managed to do that! And there 2 of them too 🙂

  2. Oh God !! Did u say pennies ???? Amazing !!! I thot it was the natural scales in a trunk !!! Really superb pic !!! 🙂

That was what we thought at first, and then on closer examination, realised that there were pennies stuck into the bark!

  3. And I also loved the green in the first pic 🙂 Where’s this Smiths?

This is from that waterfall trail that we went to. We did not get to see a waterfall, but that is another story 🙂

  4. Even I thought it was natural scaling in the trunk. This is amazing. Do the people over there are superstitious too, like our people wrapping coloured thread around peepal trees?!

No, I haven’t seen any coloured threads so far 🙂 I have only seen coins thrown into fountains 🙂

    Unbelievable! Thanks for sharing!

We found it quite fascinating too 🙂

  5. wow….. like someone commented.. the first pic definitely looks like a giant leg….the scales are magnificent!

The ‘scales’ are coins – pennies, mainly 🙂

  6. Wow!! Maybe it was done over a period of time!!

Yes, some of the coins looked really old.. But we could not make out the years on them – so it must have been done over a period of time.

  7. those are pennies??? I thought those were some sort of scales! i was going to ask which tree has scaly bark!

I know, that’s what we thought as well. But realized that it was actually pennies on examining it 🙂

  8. oh you came to Ingleton? Oh have the exact same photo…its such a weird tree..but the walk is so beautiful 🙂

Yes, last weekend 🙂 The walk is beautiful, isn’t it? We did not do the full walk – plan to come better prepared the next time 🙂

So, what do you think?
