Wish List for the next birth :)

Some time back, in my working avataar, Β me and a colleague were stuck at work at 12:00 in the night and he said, ‘ These are the times that I wish I had a wife to go home to – who would keep dinner ready for me..’ and I replied, ‘Yeah, so do I’!

Well, husband and I have a pact that next ‘janam’, we are going to reverse genders – he is going to be the woman and I the man πŸ™‚ So that I get to laze around, have a complete monopoly over the remote and not do any cooking!!!Β

Now that Β Vimmuuu and Hitchy and Indyeah have all tagged me to come up with a list of women I would want to drool at – if I were a guy, here goes my list, on which hubby could probably model himself πŸ™‚ Prep guide for the next birth πŸ™‚

1. Nigella Lawson – Doesn’t she give the word ‘Domestic Goddess’ another meaning? Wow!! to be married to someone who looks and cooks like that and a business woman to boot, Β must be paradise, don’t you think πŸ™‚ Anyone who does not know Nigella Lawson – go check herΒ Β out πŸ™‚ And check out that sundae in the pic!! Isn’t that droolworthy??? And I have tried out her recipes – yummy!!!

2. Michelle Obama – Everything that I have read about her just makes admire her so. Β She is brilliant at her job at the same time, doing a wonderful job bringing up her children. People have slated her for her lack of style.. but she remains a powerful woman who in her husband’s own words, if she ever ran for public office, would do far better than him… She seems to strike that perfect balance between work and life. Β Her husband’s words in his book, ‘The Audacity of Hope’ just made my admiration of her grow..

3. Shobana. One of the most intelligent, talented and gorgeous actresses! She also an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. Here’s more about her.Β

4. Sushmita Sen – Another thinking actress. I had found the fact that she adopted her daughter very very noble. Here’s the lady with her lovely daughter πŸ™‚

5. Charlize Theron. I find her gorgeous and found her portrayal of the serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the movie, Monster, mind-blowing! She was completely transformed!

So there you go, that’s my drool-worthy list πŸ™‚

PS: I can’t believe that I have actually spent my whole saturday in front of the laptop!!

Edited to add : Vimmuuu – I have sacrificed my whole saturday – to rescue you from where you are trapped πŸ™‚

      • new pair in the offing… Indi and Smi !!!

welcome the new couple ! πŸ˜€

yes Indi you are first !!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜†

you have the dirtiest mind πŸ‘Ώ !!!! Did you not read my previous post of how we girls show our affections freely πŸ™‚ without being termed ‘couple’!!!

          • yeah, yeah ! I hear you loud and clear !!! Now you know why Smita came up with her previous post of expressing love between the same genders. Defense mechanism, you see !!!
Since you two seem to be communicating so clearly, you do seem ‘made for each other πŸ™‚ What say Indi, Sols?’

So you, Solilo and Indyeah, huh ??? Three men from planet earth escaped !!!!
Don’t forget that you are still trapped inside ‘Vimala’! Don Solilo still has the power to release you or not πŸ™‚

          • @Vimmu & Hitchy: You dirty minds. Ufffff….! didn’t you guys learn anything from Smi’s previous post? Women aren’t ashamed to show their feelings.

I know Sols! They still come up with these!!! I think they desparately want to be coupled with each other and since people have stopped – are trying to give us all hints! So are Hitchy and Vimmuuu the new pair? OG? Where are you????

You men drool over Hrithik’s bare body in your privacy and then blame us. Muahahahahahaha 😈
πŸ˜† **Trying to imagine Vimmuuu, Hitchy and OG drooling over Hrithik’s bare body*** πŸ˜†

@Smi: I don’t know what kind of people search engines are going to send our way after all these comments. Don’t blame me. I am in the same boat. πŸ˜†

I know πŸ™‚ I have already got a couple of people who reached here finding out how to ‘oogle at girls’ πŸ™‚

          • seriously Smithus and Sololi,
I have already started getting traffic from search terms like “How do I have a sex change”, “What is a sex change”, “I want a sex change” etc etc etc etc………… πŸ˜›

Look at the bright side OG – we can all do a funner version of that tag of Hitchy’s πŸ™‚

          • @ Vimmuuu & Dhiren. That’s called sisterly love. πŸ˜›
            Something you guy won’t understand. πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

Tell them, tell them, Badz πŸ™‚

  1. I love Nigella Lawson too πŸ˜€

    and Charlize Theron too:)
oh what the heck!I like your list as a whole coz of the points you have listed πŸ™‚

Thank you , Thank you πŸ™‚ Not sure the boys will though πŸ™‚ They might have wanted something more racy πŸ™‚

    • boys ?pfftt! πŸ˜›
      who cares?

      we should be happy πŸ˜€

Ya ya – my sentiments exactly πŸ™‚

and knowing them I am sure they will find some thing to be happy about πŸ˜‰
Absolutely πŸ˜‰ You know, have not had so much fun in a long time πŸ™‚

      • The first pic definitely drool worthy !! na na… i m sure you know i dont mean the sunday !!!

You are too much Hitchy πŸ˜† Wifey needs to be alerted πŸ™‚

        And Charlize Theron… hmmmmmmmm πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

  2. you know out of them all Nigella is my fav!! πŸ˜€
I watch her shows religiously πŸ˜€
though I dont think I can EVER cook like that!
You too? Me too πŸ™‚ I love her shows πŸ™‚ I try her cakes – and they are yum!!! Some of her salads too πŸ™‚

    well done tag Smitha:)
    and so promptly too! πŸ™‚
I had to – Vimmuuu is trapped in the machine, isn’t he πŸ™‚

    • Indyeah is there any competition going over to put the first 5 comments… LOL πŸ˜† anyway I am technically second… πŸ˜€

Now there is a competition to be second as well πŸ™‚

    • How considerate !!! A pink cake and now this tag to save me !! You are a wonderful human being unlike the ones who created a mean machine !!!

Thanku, Thanku, So what do I get for being such a wonderful human being πŸ™‚

  3. I dont know the first and last women mentioned and others were really thoughtful and perfect women πŸ™‚

I have provided links, Kanagu – go check them out πŸ™‚

    • Checked them Smitha… Nigella lawson was really beautiful and does lot of works
      with perfection πŸ™‚

Yes, Nigella is very accomplished, isn’t she πŸ™‚ Try her recipes too πŸ™‚

and Charlize Theron als o seems to be a talented actress πŸ™‚ never watched any of her films must see monster πŸ™‚

Charlize Theron has acted in several good movies.. Try Italian Job and Sweet November. I really liked Sweet November- very romantic πŸ™‚ So not sure if you will. I am sure you will like Italian Job more.. Then see Monster – the contrast is amazing !

  4. Lovely list smitha, but i dont know much about the first and the last lady.

I too admire Mrs.Obama and i like shobana. She has got a great personality and beautiful eyes. There is one movie of hers in which she is married and goes abroad and she spends her days lonely….. i loved that movie, but not able to recollect the name 😦

I think you mean Mitr – My friend. She is good, isn’t she?

  5. Hey, so you have also done the Tag…….. πŸ˜›
It is the new rage in blogiverse πŸ˜›
Good list……. totally happy with it πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› except the obama girl πŸ˜›

I really liked that new term – blogiverse!!! Nice Nice!! You don’t like Michelle Obama 😦

This is first time, I have heard of somebody called nigella lawson…. well, if she also cooks as good as you says, then I am going to marry her πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜›
Nigella Lawson is very interesting πŸ™‚ Go check her out.. Here is a sample πŸ™‚ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrLKa2AAMbk

She is already married though πŸ™‚

  6. Nice list!! πŸ™‚

how come your posts don’t show up on my blogroll?

No idea 😦 It has been happening to a lot of us 😦

  7. Yours header is really beautiful Smitha πŸ™‚

Can you please let me know how to make one???

Sure, will email you – it was very simple..

  8. If I were a guy, I would definitely drool over Nigella…As my husband says, “She is yummy!”

BTW, it’s a good list…Women of Substance…Barbara Taylor Bradford would be proud of you!

Bones, lol at ‘Barbara Taylor Bradford would be proud of you!’ πŸ˜†

  9. Never heard of the first woman !! Thanks ! I need to check out more.
Btw, please dont call Sushmita a thinking actress !!! She is definitely drool worthy but with the kind of movies she has done, I dont think we should call her a thinking actress ! and also she is a big time relationship mess-up. The only impressive part of hers other than her looks was the fact that she actually adopted a child !

I do think she is a thinking actress.. She might have had relationship troubles – but then who hasn’t? The fact that she adopted a child is impressive

and Thanksssss a lot for doing the tag !! Half of my problem is over, lol πŸ˜€
πŸ˜† So are you back into the Vimal/Vimala phase now that ‘half the problem’ is over πŸ˜‰

  10. Smi, Love your list. I think I will agree with your entire list esp. Nigella Lawson, Sushmita and Shobhana.

When did Abhi tag you? Did she finish her tag?

Abhi tagged without even doing her tag πŸ™‚ She tagged me in comments to my previous post – when she and hitchy ganged up against me 😦

  11. Smi, your header is fabulous. That picture of Poohi hopping should have been there too. My little fashionista Poohs.

I wanted it more creative 😦 Did not get the time – will try more experiments when I get a chance next πŸ™‚ Yes, will try and incorporate Poohi next πŸ™‚

Congratulations on being blogadda’s Saturday pick. You deserve it for that and many other posts. *applause*

Thank you Sols! I was stunned (and delighted) to be honest πŸ™‚

  12. I LOVE your list Smitha. I also like the fact that these beautiful women are not beautiful in a stereotyped way … no skin and bones here, just beautiful, smart, intelligent women πŸ™‚

Actually, I did not even realise that IHM !! I am very happy now that you pointed it out πŸ™‚

  13. @smitha
    lovely list πŸ™‚ intelligent choices!

    Thank you, Ashwathy πŸ™‚

    @vimmuuu and OG
u guys seriously need to pay attention to cookery shows! nigella lawson is the reason why. a good looking woman with curves (as opposed to size zero) who can cook well and make it look aesthetically/sensually good on camera! u dont know what u’re missing guys!!

I totally agree! Did you know that she was called the ‘Queen of Food porn’?

  14. me likes ur list smitha!!! πŸ˜€

but smitha, u lost me for a while on chocolateeeeeeeee sundaeeeeeeeeee

i think i can’t drool on ppl….i can only drool on food!very cliche of me, but i was born to be fed!!!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

You know I used to watch UK TV Food a lot! I drool on food as well ! I even dream of food πŸ™‚

me likes shobhana too! right from her comedy in “tain mavin kombathu” to her award winning performance in “manichitratazhu”, me loved it all!!! and of course, Mitr My Friend as well!
Oh me too!!! These are the few Malayalam movies that I can claim to have seen πŸ™‚

all this drool all over the place with this tag doing the rounds!!!! *crafty swims through, but can’t find a towel*

Crafty. why don’t you do this tag?

  15. LoL Smitha! You had some fun doing this. I liked your choice. All 5 women are good and strong characters. πŸ™‚

I had loads of fun doing this and the previous post and reading all these guys posts:) Have not laughed so much ever πŸ™‚

My fav are Nigella Lawson and Sushmitha Sen. πŸ˜€
I also watch Nigella Lawson show. She’s a good cook. πŸ™‚

You too Badz πŸ™‚ I really like the way she cooks – she makes it look so easy!!

    • BTW, I liked the edit to add. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜†
Vimmuuu need all the help he can get. πŸ˜‰ So I’ll have to do the tag soon. Although no one had tagged me. So no pressure. πŸ˜›

Badz- You are officially tagged!!! Do it quick πŸ™‚

      • LoL! πŸ˜›
I’ll do as soon as I get a little time in my hands. πŸ˜‰
We need to save poor Vimmuuuu BUt let him have a little fun being pregnant. πŸ˜‰

ha ha!! πŸ˜† Better still lets wait for him to ‘deliver ‘;) That would be so much more fun!!! And we can tease him by calling him Vimala in the meanwhile πŸ™‚

        • Neengey nallavaraa kettavaraa ??? (Are you a good person or a bad person? )—-Nayakan theme music playing in the background.

Come one Vimmuu – you just called me a wonderful human being a few comments back πŸ™‚

  16. Great list Smitha. Seeing Michelle here is great. I know privately many Indian men would want her but more “fair and lovely”!

I really like Michelle, and her colour just does not come into question – atleast for me.. But that might have also been due to the fact that I have lived and worked with people from every where… As for Indian men wanting ‘fair and lovely’.. I think a lot of men are also coming out of it.. Atleast I personally know quite a few.. But yes, we have a long way to go..

I will be surprised if anyone looking for a role reversal like this will ever publicly say that their choice would be Meena Kumari singing “Na jaao saiyaan chhuda ke bahiyan, kasam tumhaari main ro padoongi” to a philandering Rehman! I am being wicked, of course, but I can’t believe that no woman will want to be reborn as that Rehman. Guys, are all you bloggers having great marriages and perfect partners?! LOL!

Well, being a woman now, I would prefer a more equal marriage πŸ™‚ Though am not sure how I would think – if I were really a man πŸ™‚

  17. good list Smitha.. i dint know the 1st and last person in the list..now that u mentioned them, will know more about them.

Shobhana is always my favourite. She has something in her that makes us admire her.
Michelle Obama..completely agree with whatever you wrote πŸ™‚

Thank you, Mystery, I always liked Shobhana too.. and Michelle Obama – Everything I have read about her is so admirable..

  18. that is a great list.. oh i wish i had finished the tag earlier or not seen yours before coz most of them are on my list too..
πŸ™‚ which is why I did it quickly – before some more wonderful women get taken up πŸ™‚
i’ll try to do mine today.. it is really difficult… πŸ™‚

I read yours yest – and really really liked it πŸ™‚

  19. I like this tag. People are going crazy doing it. πŸ™‚
    Your list is good.
As for Sush, I think she could never get into the skin of her character. She is always Sushmita even if she is playing a police officer. Don’t you think?

  20. Nice list, Smitha. I can see that you selected them for their intelligence rather than physical beauty.

Yes, I guess so.. though I did not consciously think of it.. I just noted down people I like.. I admire people like Sudha Murthy too.. But finally did not put her in – thanks the ‘droolworthy’ factor πŸ™‚

I too admire Mrs. Obama and her husband too! His love for his wife is visible when he looks at her and they are very close to their children too. She manages everything very well.

Me too! I think they balance out each other very well..

I like Shobana – remember ‘dance like a man’? In that movie she had a powerful role. ‘Mitr…’ is a simple but well-made movie (by my favourite Revathy!).

I have never seen any good movie of Sushmita, but have heard about her adopting the daughter.

Just now read about the other two – Charlize Theron and Nigella Lawson. Impressed by Nigella.

  21. Loooved your list,Smits. And I liked the way you’ve explained in each case why you’ve chosen them.

I love Sobhana &Michelle Obama (hve to say her husband is way more appealing though:P)too.

  22. Nice list. I admire Michelle Obama – She brings such a balance to her role – an excellent match to Obama. I think both of them are very mature and know how to handle themselves. Anyone in the world would love to have a family like them. I have seen Shobana in Dhalapathy and she acted awesomely. I heard that she was a classical dancer too. So, a talented actress.

    Destination Infinity

Oh yes, I do think Michelle Obama brings a nice balance to her role.. Unlike Hillary – who was almost competing with her husband for his role πŸ™‚ I really like Michelle Obama…

Yes, Shobana is an accomplished dancer as well.. very talented..

  23. Pingback: Women: My dil goes hmm… « Soliloquies of an Opinionated mind…

  24. LOL..interesting conversation in the comment section!! i was just searching vimmuus comment for the “guys drooling over hrithiks bare body in privacy”! πŸ˜› Oh so happy i was to see tht comment πŸ˜›
btw great list…i shud say each is droolworthy in their own way.. πŸ™‚ nigella is the perfect combo though i guess πŸ˜›

  25. I so loved ur list of women…..except for Michelle Obama I’m sure I wd have chosen the same people if I had been tagged.

Why don’t you take up this tag – Let me tag you πŸ™‚

p.s: quite enjoyed OG’s description of rhinoplasty πŸ˜€
Only OG can come up with such gems πŸ™‚

  26. I love Nigella, but I think with my family history of diabetes, if I cooked exactly like her, with all that butter & cream, I probably won’t live to see 50! But man, for a food lover & a chocolate lover like me, her programs are pure pleasure, even if I won’t ever cook the same way πŸ˜€

Oh I don’t cook exactly like her πŸ™‚ The way she pops huge chunks of butter gives me a slight heart attack sometimes πŸ™‚
But I do try her cakes – very nice πŸ™‚ And I normally make cakes when I have company so that I do not eat it all up – spread the fat around, you know πŸ™‚

  27. One person who is on my top list is on yours too !!! Nigella !!! My God, she is damn good !!! Actually, I am baking her cup cakes now, and there I am reading ur post on her. WOW !!!

I love Nigella’s recipes! They are so yummy, aren’t they? Do post some of your recipes, Uma – would love to try them out πŸ™‚

Actually, I like the whole list !! Michelle and Sushmita are next in line for me. Shobana is amazing !!! πŸ™‚
Thank you πŸ™‚ Am delighted that you like my list πŸ™‚

  28. Smitha.. I think I missed this post of urs since I was on vacation that time.. dont how how you picked up the list that I would have made myself πŸ™‚ nd Shobana would top the list for me..

    πŸ™‚ Same pinch πŸ™‚

  29. Just thought I’d take another look at this list – now Sushmita Sen has adopted one more daughter. She has a complete family now!

I so agree, IHM πŸ™‚ She is such an impressive woman, isn’t she?

So, what do you think?
